SCORPION

FOR ALMOST 30 YEARS
SCORPION RIBS HAVE BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED
AS THE BEST IN THE WORLD

From the first Scorpion RIBs that broke the Round Britain record to the latest model, the Silurian 1080, our priorities remain the same; safety, comfort and performance in all conditions.

Scorpion RIBs was established at a time when other manufacturers were merely adding tubes to conventional hulls, Scorpion designed a specific hull that took full advantage of the Rigid Inflatable Boat concept.

The objective from the outset was to design a rib that could run at speed in choppy waters whilst maintaining a dry and comfortable ride for those on board. And to compliment that design with exceptional build quality.

This ethos remains today.

Soon after the first Scorpions were launched, the company was approached by customers who wanted to use their RIBs for endurance races as well as leisure use. These early clients and their successes helped drive the design of the Scorpion hull and the development of the most accomplished offshore performance RIB of all time, the Scorpion Sting 10m Cabin.

Scorpions even help British teams win yacht races.

Sir Ben Ainslie chose the Scorpion Serket 98 as his chase boat for his America’s Cup campaigns because he “wants to work with the best, that’s why I chose Scorpion.”

Keeping pace with the AC45s and their larger counterparts, the AC72s, demands an extraordinary breed of boat. With the catamarans travelling at up to 40 knots+ in choppy conditions it’s a testing environment for all vessels but one in which the Serket thrives.
